Prof. Dr. Bugarić completed his post-graduate studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Belgrade in 1996 in the group for Designing factories, factory facilities, transport and storage systems, defending his master's thesis under the title "Contribution to the optimization of the bulk cargo unloading process in river ports". In 2002, he defended his doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Belgrade, entitled "Modelling of the non-stationary mode of operation of the mechanized transport system using queuing theory". At the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Belgrade, he was elected to the position of junior researcher in 1992, assistant intern in 1994, and teaching assistant in 1997. He was elected assistant professor in 2004, associate professor in 2009, and full professor in 2013. Prof. Dr. Bugarić passed the professional exam on obtaining authorization for design and construction in the field of mechanical engineering in 2000, and he has held the license of the responsible designer for the design of "transportation means, warehouses and mechanical structures and technology" issued by the Serbian Chamber of Engineers since 2003. In 2010, he passed the professional exam on practical competence for performing safety and health at work, and in 2011, he passed the professional exam on practical competence of the person responsible for performing the tasks of inspection and testing of work equipment, and in the same year he received a license to perform work inspection and testing of work equipment. He is the author of a monograph and co-author of a textbook. Prof. Bugarić taught several courses as an assistant professor, associate and regular professor, among them Terotechnology and Operational Research, and he also formed new curricula and appropriate written materials for the subjects Maintenance System Management, Designing Logistics Distribution Systems and Operational Research. He published the textbook "Modelling of service systems" with current and modernly designed content for the subjects Maintenance System Management, Designing Logistics - Distribution Systems, Industrial Logistics and Operational Research. He was the mentor of a large number of graduate and master's theses, and he also participated in a large number of commissions for defense. He published more than 120 scientific research papers, and participated in 85 projects of national importance and through cooperation with the economy. Since 2022, he has been the president of the Commission for taking professional exams and issuing licenses for the specialized field of transport vehicles, warehouses and mechanical technologies at the Serbian Chamber of Engineers.
