He is an аssociate professor at the Department of Naval Architecture at the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and a member of the Society of Naval Architects of Serbia (SNAS). In addition, he is a member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA) and of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME). Since 2023. he holds the position of the acting head of the Department.

Besides teaching, his scientific research is related to theoretical, numerical, and experimental ship hydrodynamics, as well as the development of methods for calculating the resistance and propulsive characteristics of various types of ships, as well as high-speed crafts. He has been involved in a significant number of national and international research projects, as well as numerous projects done for the industry.

He is а member of the Working Groups of the Institute for Standardization of Serbia and the Center for the Investigation of Inland Waterways Traffic Accidents.
