To the friends of the Alumni Foundation – English language course

In cooperation with the Association of Language Schools of Serbia (YALS), the University of Belgrade-Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Alumni Foundation of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade (AFMF), and with the project support of the Embassy of the United States of America, 11 members of administrative staff at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade successfully completed a specialized English language course intended for civil servants.

The training was organized by Studio Oskar foreign language school, in the period from October 2024 to May 2025. The program focused on practical language skills necessary for everyday communication with international partners, with a special attention paid to formal writing, conducting meetings and working with delegations. This program is part of a broader project to improve the professional capacities of administrative employees, with the aim of more efficient participation in international projects and European integrations.

The classes included a total of 75 hours of combined training - 45 hours of class work with a teacher and 30 hours of independent work with mentoring. A special contribution to the quality of the training was made by an interactive workshop with a native English speaker, which provided participants with additional practice in an authentic communication environment.

Having successfully completed all the planned activities, the following participants received their certificates: Snežana Golubović Radosavljević, Adrijana Zubić, Vesna Simić, Biljana Nešović, Andrijana Rajković, Danijela Fatić, Biljana Kilibarda, Jelena Tanasković, Damjan Ivanović, Zoran Stojković and Stefan Maksimović.

The ceremonial awarding of certificates to all participants was held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in the presence of the Vice-Dean Prof. Dr. Živana Jakovljević, the President of the AFMF Board Prof. Dr. Milan Ristanović, and the Director of AFMF, Prof. Dr. Ivan Božić, on whose initiative this training was implemented.
